Now for my eight facts:

1. I'm the only one in my immediate family with artistic inclinations.
2. I prefer nonfiction books. In fact, it's been a long time since I read fiction, now that I think of it.
3. My favorite musicians are Beethoven and Weird Al Yankovic.
4. I have crooked teeth because I never got braces, but now I have to get them anyway to prevent more serious jaw trouble.
5. In life I am very much a generalist. I try to do well at everything, and I don't have any really exceptional talents that rise above the others. Consequently, I don't have a very good idea yet of where to aim in college.
6. I think politics is great except for the politicians.
7. I don't watch television except for special occasions (inaugurations, the Super Bowl [commercials], etc.).
8. I had a hard time coming up with all these facts. Is that normal?
